8. Quotes for Officiant Fees? How are they determined?
* Do they include a rehearsal?
* Is there a set price?
* Are they determined by the number of people present?
* Does it make a difference if we only want something very simple?.
Answer: Quotes never include a rehearsal. If a rehearsal is required and you want me to be there, there will be a separate and additional fee.
Other than office held civil ceremonies, fees are not commonly set at a specific rate. Based on a sliding scale, they vary. The amount, on the sliding scale, is determined by distance and time to the venue or location. The number of guests present or, whether the ceremony is simple or or more complex, doesn't make any difference to the amount of work required by the officiant. Therefore, these factors have no bearing on the quote. The only variable is with respect to the location of the venue. It's about time and travel, distance to the venue location.

* our children?
* a relative?
* a friend?
* our dog (s) or other pets?
Answer: You may have whom ever you'd like to participate in your ceremony. They can always be given a special and appropriate role. This is especially important to couples from second marriages who have children. It's important to them to include them in this celebration of a new marriage and new family unit.
9. What needs to happen in order to proceed and book my services for your wedding? Moving forward with a booking.
* Will you hold a date for a few hours
or just a couple of days?
* Is a deposit required?
* How much is the deposit?
* What are the terms of payment?
* What are the payment methods?
* Will there be some kind of receipt or contract?
Answer: IN ORDER TO BOOK A CEREMONY A DEPOSIT IS FIRST REQUIRED.
If the ceremony is more than 30 days away, the deposit is split - a minimum of 50% in order to proceed with the booking and, the balance of 50% is due 30 days before the wedding. Some couples prefer getting the fee out of the way by paying the whole fee upfront, either method is acceptable.
If the intended ceremony is booked within 30 days, or less, the entire amount is payable in order to reserve the date and time..
I'm not set up for debit or credit cards. Payments may be made by email bank transfer, cash or cheque.
After payment is received, your ceremony date and time are secured. This is followed up by an email confirmation complete with all the details, including the total officiant fee, the amount of the deposit paid, balance and due date. A summary statement, with reference to the marriage licence and subsequent appointments, is also included.
